Christa Pike is out of the hospital and back in prison in Tennessee, according to her attorneys. The state attempted to execute Pike, but she survived. The question now — what will happen next? Columbia professor Bernard Harcourt represented a man in a similar situation. Doyle Lee Hamm had a botched execution in Alabama, and Harcourt was able to negotiate a deal with the state to stop a second execution.
