Grading the Bruins Before Training Camp

Evan Marinofsky goes solo on Bruins Beat to project how Boston’s roster will perform this season ahead of training camp. Evan puts the Bruins through his preseason tier list, grading players based on the type of year he expects them to have rather than where they currently stand. He breaks down Boston’s forward group, including expectations for Morgan Geekie, James Hagens, Elias Lindholm, Fraser Minten, Casey Mittelstadt, Pavel Zacha and Matt Poitras. Evan also makes a huge prediction for David Pastrnak and JJ Peterka, believing the two could become one of the NHL’s most dangerous offensive combinations. On defense, he sorts through Boston’s crowded blue line and evaluates Nikita Zadorov, Mason Lohrei and Charlie McAvoy. Finally, Evan turns to the goaltenders and explains what he expects from Jeremy Swayman and Michael DiPietro this season.
