Buffalo Bills 2026 Free Agency: A Rollercoaster of Reactions & Grades

Buffalo Bills 2026 Free Agency Week 1 Recap: DJ Moore Trade, CJ Gardner-Johnson Signing & Draft Needs

In this episode of Circling the Wagons, we recap the Buffalo Bills’ first week of 2026 free agency, grading key moves and updating the team’s draft needs. They review releases of Taylor Rapp, Dane Jackson, and Curtis Samuel, then discuss trading for Bears WR DJ Moore (Bills send a second-round pick and receive Moore plus a fifth), which they feel upgrades the receiver room despite the cost. They like the one-year signing of S CJ Gardner-Johnson, re-signing C Connor McGovern, and discuss trading Taron Johnson to the Raiders for a pick swap while debating replacement CB Dee Alford. They give mixed reactions to signing edge Bradley Chubb, adding depth with S Geno Stone, and bringing back QB Kyle Allen, then note departures including David Edwards and Reggie Gilliam to the Patriots. They identify top draft needs as linebacker and nose tackle, followed by corner, wide receiver, and safety, while discussing concerns about switching to a 3-4 scheme.
