6. Fixing… Italian Football

This week Dan and James head to Italy to fix Serie A — once the undisputed home of some of the best footballers, biggest clubs and most iconic teams in world football.

So what went wrong? How did Italy go from having the league everyone wanted to watch to playing catch-up with the Premier League and Europe’s other big leagues? And, more importantly, what needs to change to get Serie A back where it belongs?

From outdated stadiums and falling behind financially to an increasingly worrying reliance on Scottish players, Dan and James try to work out how Italian football lost its way — and what it needs to do to find it again.

It’s time to fix Serie A. Alright?!
