What if the season we’ve been told to quietly suffer through is actually the one where we finally step into our power?

Dr. Christina Kintop was one of our very first guests, and her episode is still the most listened to in Heart and Soul history. Women want to hear from her. That has become abundantly clear.

A few years ago Chrissy was in the messy middle. Kids were leaving home, she had lost her dad, and menopause knocked her off her feet even though she’s a primary care physician. She took a job interview with us in a parking lot at a bus stop, and somewhere between wedding setups and long chats, her creativity started coming back.

Today she’s about to host her sixth Women’s Symposium, she has her own podcast, The Healing Pause, and she’s building something brand new. We got to sit with her and hear all of it.

WHAT WE WALKED AWAY WITH

6 million women in the US will go into menopause this year, and only 6% are seeking help.

Women weren’t required to be included in medical research until 1993.

Unmanaged menopause symptoms cost our economy $26.6 billion every year.

When women gather, it changes us down to the cell. Community is real medicine.

Sitting in the dark for a while isn’t failure. It’s often where we come back to ourselves.

OUR FAVORITE QUOTES

“Enough is not a quantity. It’s a decision.”

“Keep walking forward and the path will appear.”

“When menstruation stops, she becomes her power.”

“Resilience doesn’t always mean we have to be strong all the time.”

“Sometimes in those darkest moments is when you really find yourself.”

CHAPTERS

00:00 Welcoming Christy back

02:17 A job interview at a bus stop

19:32 She becomes her power

23:00 The study that scared
