<p>Hey ladies, welcome back to Help Me Abide! I’m so glad you’re joining us for another episode of “The Simple Life.”</p><p>I think sometimes when we hear the words “the simple life,” we picture a life where everything is calm, organized, and going according to plan. But the truth is, sometimes the simple life is learning how to find God right in the middle of the mess.</p><p>And that is exactly what we’re going to talk about today.</p><p>Our guest is someone I’ve known for quite a few years. I met Laurie Whitehouse when I was in college. She and her husband were teachers there, and I had the privilege of being under their influence during those years.</p><p>But looking back now, there is something I didn’t understand at the time.</p><p>I had no idea what kind of burdens Laurie was carrying.</p><p>And I think that’s something we can all relate to. Sometimes we look at someone and see their smile, their faithfulness, the way they serve, and we have no idea what they may be carrying behind the scenes.</p><p>Laurie has walked through some incredibly difficult things. She doesn’t pretend that life is easy. She doesn’t gloss over the hard things.
