SmackDown Review: Punk/Owens/Zayn Promos, Tag Title Switch, Gunther Brawls, and Money in the Bank Fallout

K100 review WWE SmackDown, noting mixed online ratings and praising the Lafayette crowd and the show’s physicality in brawls and beatdowns. Highlights include a strong ladder-themed promo segment with CM Punk, Kevin Owens, and champion Sami Zayn; a six-woman tag featuring Roxanne Perez, Lola Vice, and Sol Ruca vs Lash Legend, Jacy Jayne, and Tiffany Stratton that ends with miscommunication and Lash attacking her own team; a Chelsea Green–Nikki Bella confrontation; Charlotte being attacked and replaced, leading to Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley winning the women’s tag titles from Fatal Influence; MFTs beating War Raiders amid teases of a three-way; Gunther destroying Danhausen before fighting Finn Balor; Cody Rhodes escalating issues with Randy Orton; and a no-contest main event (Bron Breakker vs Trick Williams) ending with layered run-ins and Bronson Reed standing tall with The Vision. They also discuss missing Money in the Bank due to the Georgia–Alabama game, correct predictions of Tiffany and Penta winning the briefcases, ideas for Penta cashing in on Roman Reigns, Roman’s comments about Conrad Thompson, and praise for Roman vs LA Knight while criticizing a women’s triple threat match.
