Trump careless talk is destroying Republican Party.

Richard Somers and 1801 Barbary War led to the September 11 attacks.

Both Democrats and Republicans are ignoring violent crime.

Socialists are the worst antisemites.

SETH GROSSMAN:  I prefer not talking about President Trump or any national issues that are all over Fox news and  national TV. I'd rather use this time to talk about the important state and local issues that nobody else is talking about.

However, you talked a lot about President Trump in your monologue, so I have to respond. Yes, Donald Trump hurts a lot of people when he does stuff like this, and there is no reason for it.

When Trump posts on social media that he is the greatest President in American history. When he says "I'm thinking about running for a third term." or "I'm going to rename Lake Ontario, and call it "Lake America.", Trump hurts a lot of people besides himself. He does this all the time and there is absolutely no reason for it.

There was no reason for Trump to start a tariff war with Canada and say he would make it the 51st state just before their election last year. He did that just before their elections last year. There were good conservatives in Canada who like American and want to be our friends. They had a good chance of winning their elections last year. But Trump destroyed them.  There was no reason for Trump to say he would take Greenland and to bully a tiny country like Denmark.

Why is Trump going to war with the Kennedy family over the Kennedy entertainment center. Why is a making such a big deal over his new ballroom at the White House.  This stuff hurts Trump and it hurts everyone in the Republican Party. In fact it is destroying the Republican Party.

Because if you or I say anything even slightly critical of President Trump, Trump supporters, who are roughly two thirds of the Republican Party will be so angry, they will never consider voting for us.  They will make sure we never get elected to anything.

And this gets the one third of the Republican Party who do not like Trump just as angry at those other Republicans as they are as Trump.
