Is Delaware the Sun Belt's SLEEPER Pick to Replace JMU? | Sun Belt Podcast

Could the Delaware Blue Hens be the perfect addition to the Sun Belt Conference?

Dave Schultz explores whether Delaware's storied football tradition, highlighted by NFL star Joe Flacco and a Division I-AA (FCS) national championship, makes them a compelling candidate to fill the void left by James Madison's impending departure.

The episode examines Delaware’s recent bowl performance, its strong research reputation, and the recruiting advantages of tapping into the Pennsylvania talent pipeline.

Schultz weighs the pros and cons of expanding the Sun Belt footprint into the Philadelphia market and ponders how adding Delaware could shake up rivalries with Old Dominion, Marshall, and App State. With Sun Belt decision-makers potentially racing against the clock, listeners are left wondering:

Should Delaware be at the top of the realignment wish list, or is another program better suited for the conference’s future?
