Gunsmoke - "Word of Honor" (1954)

Gunsmoke presents “Word of Honor,” episode 115, originally broadcast on July 3, 1954. William Conrad stars as Marshal Matt Dillon, with Howard McNear as Doc Adams and Parley Baer as Chester Proudfoot. Written by John Meston and directed by Norman Macdonnell, this CBS sustaining broadcast returns listeners to Dodge City, Kansas.

When Doc Adams is compelled to treat a wounded man, a promise of confidence leaves him unable to share what he knows with Matt Dillon. As a worried rancher searches for his missing son, Matt faces a tense frontier dilemma involving duty, honor, and justice.

Old Time Western Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
