That’s how you answer.

Oklahoma took down No. 1 Texas in a Cotton Bowl classic, and a team that desperately needed something to build on now has the Golden Hat and a new lease on life.

Travis Davidson and I break down John Mateer’s redemption, Tate Sandell’s response, Peyton Bowen’s pick-six and the 19-second drive that helped finish the job. We also get into Lloyd Avant’s breakthrough, the Venables–Arbuckle halftime conversation and what changed for OU’s offense after the break.

There’s plenty on the defense, too: Tristan Haynes answering the call, the pressure that disrupted Arch Manning, David Stone’s impact and Owen Heinecke’s knack for showing up when Oklahoma needed a play.

Plus, the rivalry’s edge, the midfield aftermath, Cooper Witten and the future of OU’s linebacker room, our MVP picks, and what the Sooners can carry into Kentucky.

The win was huge. Can Oklahoma build on it?
