Bacon-Wrapped Cheeseburger Onion Rings | Big Green Egg BBQ
Bacon-wrapped cheeseburger onion rings, aka MEAT DONUTS, cooked on a Big Green Egg with Captain Ron Cooks. 🥓🍔🔥
The Podcast Twins head to Captain Ron's backyard in Coral Springs, Florida for a full backyard BBQ session built around seasoned ground beef, cheese, onion, bacon and a sticky BBQ glaze.
Captain Ron shows us how to build burger-stuffed onion rings, wrap them completely in bacon, season them in layers and cook them indirect on the Big Green Egg at around 350 to 400°F. After the bacon cooks down, they get a thin coat of BBQ sauce and go back on the grill until the glaze gets sticky and tacky.
And yes, we taste everything.
