176. Sundays Are Simple: Compassion, A Love That Moves
Hello, beautiful!
Well, here we are at the end of our little Sundays Are Simple journey; the last one in this series, at least for now.
We opened with peace, we walked through mercy, and today we land on the one that ties it all together: compassion, and her companion, kindness.
Because compassion isn't pity sitting in the corner feeling sorry from across the room. Compassion is love that gets up out of its chair and moves toward the person who's hurting.
And it starts with a well that never runs dry:
His compassion for you, brand new every single morning, whether you've earned it or not.
And as we know all too well, we can't pour from an empty cup, so first we must receive, and then we get to overflow it onto the overlooked, the lonely, and the forgotten, with one small act of kindness at a time.
(And remember: those ten minutes were never just for Sundays. They're yours to keep forever.)
You’ll Learn:
👣 The real difference between pity and compassion, and why kindness is "compassion with its shoes on"
👣 Why we can't give what we haven't first received, and where the well that never runs dry actually is
👣 A simple ten-minute challenge: one overlooked person, one small act of compassion this week
