REAL WITH OTHERS

It has never been easier to look like you have it together. We post the vacation photo and leave out the meltdowns. We cram the mess into a closet before company comes. But what if being real starts with holding two truths at the same time: you are more loved by God than you can imagine, and more sinful than you're willing to admit?

In the final message of our Real series, we finish David's story in 2 Samuel. After his sin with Bathsheba, the man who once faced down Goliath can't face his own family. His story shows three ways brokenness spreads when we refuse to be honest. We choose appearance over confrontation, avoidance over forgiveness, and performance over presence. Along the way, we talk about why Christians are called to be peacemakers, not peacekeepers. We also talk about the hard conversations parents can't afford to avoid, and why we all need people who know the worst about us and stay anyway.

The good news of the gospel is that we don't have to hide. Because of what Jesus did, we can stop pretending and walk in freedom.
