Genesis 14:17-24The Encounter with Two Kings

Melchizedek (King of Salem): He is a priest-king of God Most High. He brings out bread and wine, blesses Abram, and praises God. In response, Abram gives him a tenth (a tithe) of everything he recovered. Melchizedek represents righteousness, peace, and a foreshadowing of Christ's eternal priesthood.

The King of Sodom: He offers Abram all the captured goods if Abram just returns the rescued people. Sodom represents worldly corruption and self-reliance.
