A Man’s Ways Are Before the Eyes of the Lord

Cameras are everywhere. Streaming church services and recording sermons. Keeping our streets and businesses safe. They’re on our policemen, our computers, our phones, our glasses, and our drones. They’re on our car dashboards and next to our license plates, because nobody knows how to park without a rearview camera anymore. Even the referees wore them during the FIFA World Cup! Because of this, people have become increasingly concerned about their privacy. But let me tell you, as much as we value keeping certain things to ourselves, there is one from whom nothing has ever been hidden.

We know that God is omniscient, which means he knows all things, but Scripture takes it a step further, telling us he sees all things, too. His eyes are on us and on our ways. Knowing this, how should we respond to him? This is what we’ll examine together this Sunday as we look at Proverbs 5:21: “For a man’s ways are before the eyes of the LORD, and he ponders all his paths.
