Great and Very Awesome

I’ll be preaching the third message in our series, "Shock & Awe", in the book of Joel. We’ll be looking at Joel 2:1-11 with a message titled, “Great and Very Awesome.” We’ll see how endurance is another defining characteristic of what it means to be a Christian, living in anticipation of the end of all things, never underestimating God’s power, and heeding every word he speaks.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

— Chinese Proverb

One day at a time, sweet Jesus, that’s all I’m asking of you. Just give me the strength to do every day what I have to do. Yesterday's gone, sweet Jesus, and tomorrow may never be mine. God help me today. Show me the way. One day at a time.

I will endure in the faith by…

…living in anticipation of the end of all things (v. 1-2)
