Surviving the AI Apocalypse - 10/18/26

Artificial intelligence and rapidly developing technologies raise questions that go far beyond what our machines can do. They raise questions about what it means to be human. In Manmade, C. R. Wiley examines the promises and dangers of our technological age through a distinctly Christian lens, considering humanity's recurring desire to overcome its limits and remake itself through technology. Drawing especially from the life of Saint Anthony and the wisdom of the early church, Wiley turns our attention toward Christian faithfulness in an increasingly technological world. This class will consider AI, transhumanism, embodiment, human limitations, spiritual discernment, and what it means to live faithfully as creatures made in the image of God.
