Ótal - Songs of Our Lives #140

On this episode of Songs of Our Lives, it’s Ótal! I first stumbled on his work via his “Heyr” album sometime last year and have been a big, big fan every since! The Icelandic-born, Akron-based composer has a new record out now called “Fjöður” - big time recommendation! We talk about the processes behind it before diving into Fela Kuti, Patricia Wolf, Nina Simone, Holger Czukay, ABBA, Vanilla Ice, Michael Stearns + more!
