What Is the Root Cause of Anxiety? Matthew 6:24-34 (KJV) | Sermon on the Mount Pt 28
What is the root cause of anxiety? From Matthew 6:24-34 (KJV): you cannot serve God and mammon, and serving mammon only feeds anxiety.
Sermon on the Mount Part 28 with Matt Hepner and TopLobsta: "take no thought" means take no anxiety. Do the work, then, having done all, stand (Ephesians 6:13).
The birds of the air work every day and the lilies of the field can only stand, yet God feeds and clothes both. Matt walks through working heartily as unto the Lord, clean hands and a pure heart, and David's mighty men standing their ground, and shows why your heavenly Father, not mammon, is the provider. Then come the great "stand still" moments: Moses at the Red Sea, Peter asleep in chains, Hannah's prayer, and 2 Timothy 1:7: "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
