Indonesian Propaganda: Part 1 (E41)
Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world and it experienced an anti-communist genocide in the mid 1960s. We kick off a two-parter about Indonesian propaganda with an examination of “Pancasila”, Indonesia’s official national ideology, and how it was expressed throughout both the Sukarno and — after the coup — Suharto administrations. Your hosts are Julian Feeld and Jon Gabrus.
