Leather, Rain and the Statue of Liberty: Why Showing Up Matters EP 794

Host Steve V and Co-host Kodi Maurice Doggette are talking about what can happen when you stop waiting for perfect conditions and simply show up.

After nearly skipping New York’s Brut Boat Party because of a forecast filled with rain and cold temperatures, Steve and his husband Diego decided to go anyway. The DJ was moved inside, the crowd was smaller than the year before—and then, only 30 minutes into the party, the rain stopped.

What followed was an unforgettable afternoon of dancing, romance and unexpected connection among a beautifully diverse crowd of gay men representing different ages, body types, backgrounds and stages of life.
