Fergie's 'London Bridge' and Jamelia Calling Javine a Slag (10 - 16 Sep 2006)

“Yeah, but she really is a slag though.” With those immortal words, Jamelia bodied Javine...but while that line is still rightly celebrated, we have forgotten how great Jamelia’s music was in 2006.

Luckily, your favourite 2000s pop music history where every episode we’re revisiting the UK top 40 singles chart from this week 20 years ago is here to change that. This week, we’re also talking about Fergie’s ridiculous solo debut (and inability to tell London’s bridges apart), Kelis starting a feud with 50 Cent and the weirdest piece of promo I’ve ever seen a flop pop star do in all my time researching the 00s.

Featuring the follow songs from September 2006:

Arctic Monkeys - Leave Before the Lights Come On

Basement Jaxx - Hush Boy

Beyoncé feat. Jay-Z - Deja Vu

Cascada - Everytime We Touch

Cassie - Me & U

Chamillionaire feat. Krayzie Bone - Ridin’

Christina Aguilera - Ain’t No Other Man
