Auburn football is facing one of its biggest challenges of the season as the Tigers prepare to take on the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens. With Xavier Atkins unavailable, questions surrounding Byrum Brown's quarterback play, and growing pressure on Alex Golesh to turn things around, can Auburn find a way to compete against one of the most complete teams in college football? On this episode of Fourth and Four, Mike Gittens of The War Rapport and Kyle Rush of Auburn Daily hit the West Course at Bull Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Georgia, for another round of golf and some straight talk about Auburn football. The Tigers have struggled to find consistency on offense, and the conversation surrounding Byrum Brown is getting harder to avoid. From questionable decisions and costly interceptions to problems with pass protection, Auburn needs better quarterback play. Is Brown struggling to adjust to SEC competition, or is the offensive system failing to put him in position to succeed? There's also the issue of Auburn's defense. Stopping the run has traditionally been something Auburn could count on, but recent performances have raised serious concerns. Against a Georgia team capable of controlling games on the ground, the Tigers cannot afford another disappointing performance in the trenches.
