עה"פ "אלה תולדות נח נח וגו'" [בתחילת פ' נח] מפרש בזהר ש"נח" הוא מלשון "נייחא", וב"פ "נח" היינו "נייחא בעליונים ונייחא בתחתונים". וההוראה: כאשר יהודי מתבונן סביבו ורואה שה"חושך יכסה ארץ וגו'" וחושב שאינו חזק מספיק כדי להתמודד עם העולם וכו', עליו לדעת ש"כבר הי' לעולמים" ‏–‏ נח הי' אחד ויחיד שעמד מול העולם כולו, ומ"מ, ע"י הנהגתו באופן של "צדיק תמים" נחל נצחון מוחלט בתכלית השלימות, ועד שפעל הענין ד"עולם חדש" לגמרי באופן ד"נייחא בעליונים ונייחא בתחתונים" ע"ד השלימות שתהי' לעת"ל! וזהו תוכן השם של פרשת השבוע, שכל יום וכל רגע של השבוע הוא יום ורגע של פ' "נח" ‏–‏ "נייחא"!

Synopsis

On the verse “These are the generations of Noach, Noach, etc.” (at the beginning of parashas Noach), the Zohar states that Noach comes from the word naicha (tranquility), and the double use of the word Noach represents “tranquility Above and tranquility below.” The lesson is as follows: When a Jew looks around him and sees that “darkness covers the earth, etc.,” and thinks he is not strong enough to contend with the world, etc., he must know that this has already been done in the past: Although Noach was just one person standing against the entire world, nevertheless, by conducting himself as a “perfectly righteous man” he achieved absolute victory in the fullest sense, to the point that he brought about an entirely “new world” with “tranquility Above and tranquility below,” akin to the perfection of the world when Moshiach comes. This is the significance of the name of the parashah of the week: every day and every moment of the week is a day and a moment of parashas Noach – “tranquility.”
