Secrets of the Ancient Druids

Ancient Celtic druids served as the intellectual, judicial, and spiritual leaders of their society, combining roles similar to a modern church, court, and university. Although they left behind no written records, archaeological discoveries, ancient texts, and artifacts reveal their profound influence in astronomy, politics, and ritual sacrifices. They advised kings, measured the cosmos, and mediated disputes while occasionally clashing with Roman authorities. Eventually, the rise of Christianity and Roman conquest led to their decline, though elements of their traditions and lore survived through medieval manuscripts and modern neo-druidism.
