On September 29th, the US imposed a ban on Canadian alcohol, including wine. There was already a 50% tariff on wine, and this has further escalated the situation.

It’s another week and another winery has entered into foreclosure or receivership. This time it’s Hainle Vineyards in Peachland.

One of Chile’s top winemakers, Emily Faulconer, has moved to Canada to become a technical director for Iconic Wineries of British Columbia.
