‘A Great Awakening’ on the Big Screen: An Interview with Sight & Sound President Joshua Enck

In this episode of the Life and Liberty podcast, host Sharayah Colter from the Danbury Institute interviews Sight & Sound President & Chief Story Officer Joshua Enck about ‘A Great Awakening,’ the company’s second feature film.

Enck shares his 30-year journey at Sight & Sound and explains the film’s focus on the largely untold friendship between evangelist George Whitefield and printer Benjamin Franklin, portraying the Great Awakening as the “revelation before the revolution” that shaped a culture toward self-governance and a God-given understanding of liberty. He discusses how the movie aims to spark a conversation about true liberty, encourage viewers that “one tiny candle illuminates a thousand,” and connect its message to America’s upcoming 250th anniversary.
