The Peebles Peeper

"Of all the frogs, the Spring Peeper -- a tiny tree frog an inch or less in length -- seems best able to free himself from the clutches of the cold...I have heard spring Peepers in January; and of course in March and April he welcomes in the springtime in full chorus even while the waters of the pond are still Icy so far as human reactions go. Perhaps cold-blooded animals do not actually feel the cold as do you and I." - Arthur B. Williams: The Cleveland Press 11/04/1950 Send us a message!
