Genesis 1 & 2 Explained: Creation, the Image of God & God's Design for Man | EP. 75

What do Genesis 1 and 2 actually teach about creation, humanity, work, rest, and marriage? In this episode of the Pryce Podcast, Jonathon walks verse by verse through the first two chapters of the Bible — the foundation every other page of Scripture is built on.

Our culture is confused about where we came from, what a human being is, why work matters, and what marriage means. Genesis answered every one of those questions before sin ever entered the story. This Bible study unpacks the six days of creation, the forming-and-filling pattern of Genesis 1, what it means to be made in the image of God, the seventh-day Sabbath rest, why Genesis 2 zooms in on the Garden of Eden, the dust-and-breath creation of Adam, the one command in Eden, and God's original design for marriage — through Genesis 1:1–31 and Genesis 2:1–25, with cross-references to Psalm 33, Isaiah 40:28, Hebrews 4, and Matthew 19.

In this episode: ✅ What "In the beginning God created" really means, word by word ✅ The forming-and-filling structure of the six days of creation ✅ Why light appears before the sun in Genesis 1 ✅ What it means to be made in the image of God — and why every human life has dignity ✅ Why God rested on the seventh day ✅ Whether Genesis 1 and 2 contradict each other ✅ Why work came before the fall ✅ What "help meet" really means in Hebrew ✅ God's original design for marriage in Genesis 2:24

If you've ever wondered whether Genesis 1 and 2 contradict each other — if you want to understand the Bible's creation account without skimming past the details — if you're looking for a clear, Scripture-based foundation for identity, work, and marriage — this episode is for you.

Go back to the beginning. Learn what God designed before the world was broken. Build your life on the foundation He laid.
