Spooky Season is Here: Gothic Reads, Our Fall TBR & Exciting Updates — The Spicy Librarian Podcast

Spooky season has arrived and we here, at The Spicy Librarian, are not calm about it. This week we have exciting updates. As always, told here first, usually elaborated on, and most of the time Vickey doesn't need to cut out.

We're gearing up for our MaasVerse episode but before we do, our buddy reads this season are 24690 by A.A. Dark — the dark romance that the community cannot stop talking about; we're here to decide if it's warranted. Their Sunflower Girl by Amelia Lascaux, a fae pleasure house novella full of queer monster romance that is genuinely unlike anything else on our shelves, and The Lamb by Lucy Rose, the gothic folk horror about mothers, daughters and what lives in the woods that is already being talked about as one of the most unsettling debuts in years.

Then we get into our go-to gothic, spooky and Ber reads, the ones we need you to read and the new ones making it onto our Fall TBR, . If your reading list is not sufficiently terrifying by the end of this episode, we have not done our jobs!
