Factorial CEO raised $150M at a $2.5B valuation – without needing the money (Jordi Romero)

Ten years after starting Factorial in Barcelona, Jordi Romero is pouring money into Germany. A Munich office opened this year, a Berlin office through the acquisition of Empion, and a $150M Series D at a $2.5B valuation raised for one reason only: "We didn't need any money. So the only reason we raised the round was to be able to acquire companies."
