Double Sided Hits

Double Sided Hits

Back in the days of vinyl singles songs were released with a designated A side and a B side. Often the B side became just as popular as the A side. Thus a double sided hit was created. Elvis Presley had 39 double sided hits while The Beatles had 24. In this program we feature six performers who had double sided hits: Roy Orbison (Candy Man/Crying), The Beatles (She’s A Woman/I feel Fine), Brenda Lee (I’m Sorry/That’s All You Gotta Do), Dionne Warwick (I Say A Little prayer/ Valley Of The Dolls), Billy Thorpe (Love Letters/Dancing In The Streets) and Ricky Nelson (Hello Mary Lou/Travellin’ Man).
