Episode 164/ 52: What's on Tonight vs. Everything, Everywhere, All at Once
And, because this is YFNF, that question somehow leads us into biological mini-brains, dopamine, the simulation, brain farms, dolphins taking over the world, investing, classic movies, raising kids, and why we might be getting way too much information shoved into our heads every damn day.
But underneath all the Foo nonsense is a bigger question:
How do we stay human in a world that never shuts up?
We talk about teaching our kids how to deal with the things they can't control, why soccer, karate, Legos, art, and movies can give your brain a place to breathe, and why you don't have to answer every text, email, notification, or piece of information the second it hits your phone.
We also take a trip down memory lane with movies like E.T., The Goonies, Twister, Casablanca, and Young Frankenstein—back when going to the movies felt like an event instead of just another piece of content competing for your attention.
And yes… we still find time to talk about bidets and whether dolphins are actually smarter than us.
Maybe they are.
Maybe they're just waiting.
Listen to yourself. Then turn off your phone.
Stay Wise, Foo.
