Charlene Pell - Facing forward in this altered body
In March 1994, Charlene Pell sustained second- and third-degree burns to 64% of her body, including her face, in a private airplane crash that killed her fiancé. She spent seven months hospitalised, underwent 49 surgeries and five-and-a-half years in rehabilitation. Charlene is now the founder of Facing Forward, a nonprofit empowering people with facial differences.
