Eddie's EXTREME PUNISHMENT for Disgraceful Hawks Fan Behaviour, NRL Prelim Preview & Daicos Brownlow

After a dramatic weekend of finals action, Eddie McGuire and Abbey Gelmi unpack the controversial finishes that had fans in both codes seeing red, including the late calls that ended Hawthorn and the Warriors’ seasons.

Eddie weighs in on the umpiring, the reaction from players and supporters, and why the ugly scenes in the stands should serve as a major warning for Australian sport. With crowd behaviour firmly in the spotlight, Eddie reveals the extraordinary punishment he believes the AFL should consider to stamp it out, including a massive suspended fine for clubs if supporters cross the line.

Attention then turns to a huge AFL Grand Final between Fremantle and Brisbane. Can the Dockers complete their remarkable run and claim the ultimate prize, or will Chris Fagan’s Lions make it three premierships in a row? Isaac Smith joins the show to give his expert view on the AFL’s biggest week.

There’s plenty happening in rugby league too, with Braith Anasta joining Eddie and Abbey to break down the NRL preliminary finals and the race for a place in the Grand Final. Plus, with Brownlow Medal night here, Eddie takes Abbey through some Brownlow history and reflects on the traditions, characters and stories surrounding one of footy’s biggest nights.

It’s a huge episode packed with strong opinions, Grand Final build-up, finals controversy and the biggest stories across the AFL and NRL.
