If the future of the Church depended on Christians never messing it up, we would be in trouble.

Thankfully, the hope of the Church has never been us.

It is Christ.

In the final Extra Shot of Pot 3, Cody Hudson closes the season by looking at why Christians can face the failures, divisions, disappointments, and imperfections of the Church without giving in to either cynicism or denial.

Ephesians 5 says Christ loved the Church, gave Himself for her, and is preparing her for Himself.

That means the Church Christ loves is also the Church Christ is still sanctifying.

We can admit where things are wrong.

We can repent.

We can return to Scripture.

We can pursue reform.

And we can do all of that without concluding that Christ’s Church is hopeless.
