Happy Pot Luck Saturday! The Limited, Chess King, Buster Brown, Major Mudd, and a thousand Hickory Farms stores. Yes, we’re going back to the mall. We talk Merry-Go-Round, Casual Corner, Contempo Casuals, Wet Seal, Kinney Shoes and Thom Mcan. There’s Forenza, piano ties, wild patterns, leather jackets, Miami Vice looks, and enough questionable fashion choices to last well beyond the ’80s. We also talk waiting all day for a local TV legend who never showed up, Rex Trailer, Brady Bunch perms, and the stores that disappeared because they couldn't keep up with changing tastes and the changing mall. We talk about summer sausage, Easter baskets wrapped in cellophane, overpriced pears, edible arrangements, the possibility of a muffin basket, and whether a gift basket is actually better to look at than open. It’s a Pot Luck Saturday with mall memories, big hair, old-school fashion, gift baskets, spicy mustard, and one ice cream cone at the end of a very long Sunday shopping trip. We’ll talk Shawtly!
