Episode 124: When Life Changes Faster Than Your Heart Can Catch Up: Finding God in the Transition

<p>Transitions can be exciting, beautiful, prayed for... and still leave you wondering why your emotions feel all over the place.</p><p><br></p><p>After weeks of preparing to launch my oldest daughter to college, moving her in, coming home, going back for sorority recruitment and finally saying goodbye, everything got quiet. And that&#39;s when the transition really started to hit me.</p><p>Maybe you&#39;re not dropping a child at college. Maybe you&#39;re starting a new job, moving, sending a child into middle school, launching a graduate into adulthood or simply realizing that a season of your life is changing.</p><p>This episode is for the woman standing somewhere between <strong>what was and what&#39;s next.</strong></p><p>We&#39;re looking at a moment between Jesus and His mother, Mary, that has me thinking differently about what happens when our roles change and God asks us to move forward instead of trying to hold onto what has been.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Scripture for this episode | Matthew 12:46–50</strong></p><p>“While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, ‘Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.’ He replied to him, ‘Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?’ Pointing to his disciples, he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers.
