Cooking Up Community at Nostr Valley w/Seth: State College, PA | Ep. 029

Seth joins Rev and Reed to talk about Nostr Valley, the annual Central Pennsylvania gathering he and Derek Ross have grown from a patched-together first year at Happy Valley Brewing into a free three-day event returning October 17th, plus Zap Cooking, the Nostr recipe platform he built around food as the base layer of culture. The conversation works through why hodl culture sent the wrong message, why a Nostr meetup is a Bitcoin meetup, and how remixing open source code is the same move as remixing your grandmother's pickle recipe. Rev ties it back to the nine forms of capital: when you spend financial capital to get people in a room, what comes back is trust, friendship, and collaboration you could never have bought.
