PHILLIES POSTCAST: Philadelphia Phillies CAN'T BACK Wheeler's Gem in 2-1 Loss to Houston Astros

The Philadelphia Phillies fall to the Houston Astros, 2-1 despite seven innings of one-run baseball from Zack Wheeler.

Taylor Trammell drove in the Astros’ only run off Phillies’s starter Zack Wheeler. The left fielder came up with an RBI double in the 2nd inning.

The Phillies responded off Cristian Javier with an RBI ground out by Bryson Stott in the 5th that featured ANOTHER base running blunder by the Phillies. This time it was Alec Bohm trying to take 3rd base and hesitating from 2nd to 3rd in the process.

Zack Wheeler tossed seven innings of one-run baseball allowing five hits and issuing two walks while striking out nine.

Astros’ starter Cristian Javier also allowed one run in his start. He gave up three hits, one walk and struck out five.
