894: Resort Wars Showdown: Coronado Springs vs. Port Orleans Riverside

We’re kicking off Resort Wars: Showdown, a brand-new phase of our popular series where previous Resort Wars winners return to face each other head-to-head. From here, the winners keep advancing until only one Walt Disney World resort is left standing as the ultimate Resort Wars champion.

Our first Showdown features two fan-favorite Moderate Resorts with very different personalities: Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort vs. Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.

We put these former champions through our familiar Resort Wars categories, comparing them on theming and atmosphere, rooms and comfort, dining and drinks, transportation and location, recreation and amenities, and overall value. Coronado Springs brings Gran Destino Tower, an impressive dining and lounge lineup, beautiful grounds, and amenities that can sometimes make it feel more Deluxe than Moderate.
