We’re officially settling into the new house, the podcast studio is still a garage, projects are piling up, Blayke is heading back to school—and the quintuplets are about to begin homeschooling.

But before homeschool even starts, Adam and Danielle realize they’re not exactly on the same page about what it should look like.

What time should the school day start? How much structure do kids need? Is the freedom of homeschooling the whole point—or can too much freedom create bad habits? And when one parent is taking on the responsibility of teaching while the other is working outside the home, how involved should that spouse be?

What starts as a conversation about schedules turns into something much deeper: trust, control, fear of the unknown, feeling left out, communication in marriage, and the difference between expressing concern and making your spouse feel unsupported.

Danielle shares why she believes God has been leading their family toward homeschooling for the past two years, while Adam opens up about why the transition may be stirring up some unexpected fears and insecurities of his own.
