Passage: Luke 3:1-16

Welcome to the Newlife podcast! We’re so glad that you could join us. Newlife is one family with many churches located in Brisbane, Coolangatta, Coomera, Moreton Bay, and Robina—and we exist to see more people more like Jesus by planting and leading thriving local churches.

Peter and John had no money to offer the man begging at the temple gate called Beautiful — but what they did have was something far greater. In the name of Jesus, a man lame from birth stood, walked, and went leaping and praising God. As the crowd watched on in awe & amazement, Peter swiftly redirected them: this wasn't the work of their own power or godliness. The same Spirit poured out at Pentecost was moving through two ordinary men. So, what do we glean from this? The same Holy Spirit who raised Christ from the dead and healed this man, is the same Spirit who lives within us so we can give what's been given to us in the Name of Jesus.
