Salty about a recent Breakup, Oberon Coaxial stepped into the Tachyon Jump Accelerator, and vanished. He awoke to find himself trapped in the past, facing mirror images that were not his own, and driven by an unknown force to change the history of the CSS Cavalier for the better.

His only guide on this journey is Judith, a botanist from his own time who promised not to tell Vestavia what he was doing and appears in the form of a hologram that only Oberon can see and hear.
