The guys open the show questioning what we actually learned about NC State and UNC. For the Wolfpack, dropping an early, high-stakes game is familiar territory under Dave Doeren — and so is turning the season around when things look bleakest. But while Ovies counsels patience to see how autumn unfolds, it is entirely understandable why Wolfpack fans have hit their breaking point with the same recurring script. Across the Triangle, UNC looks noticeably better after knocking off TCU. But are they actually good? While time will tell, beating a Big 12 opponent certainly raises the floor for Chapel Hill's expectations. The biggest difference maker isn't just roster talent — it's Bill Belichick himself. Instead of going out sad, Belichick clearly applied painful lessons from last season's disaster rather than just offering lip service over the summer.
