The Music That Raised Us: DJ LAFLOR on Culture, Creativity & Finding Your Way Home
To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, I’m spotlighting women who are creating community, reconnecting with their roots, and making space for the things that light them up.
This week on Precisely Nowhere, I’m joined by Sabrina Cerquera, aka LAFLOR, a first-gen Colombian-Miamian vinyl selector, DJ, and radio host based in Portland. By day, Sabrina works at a nonprofit, and in her spare time, she’s collecting records, sharing music, and creating spaces for people to connect.
We’re talking culture, identity, creativity, and making room for the things that feel like you… even when they’re not your 9–5.
Grab your cafecito and come hang. 💃🏽
