Purdue Faces Tough Wake Forest Test | Purdue Boilermakers Basketball News

Purdue cruised to a 44-19 win over Indiana State, with freshman kicker Jacobo Echeverria Lozano nailing all three field goals, but the real test comes Saturday against Wake Forest — a team that also dominated last week with a 38-16 victory. Wake’s junior QB Gio Lopez torched Akron for 350 yards, and he’ll be a nightmare for Purdue’s defense, which must contain his deep passes and stop running back Ty Clark. The offensive line needs to hold up under more pressure, Ryan Browne must stay accurate, and the Boilermakers can’t afford nine penalties for 85 yards again — every play must count if they want to keep winning.
