Who Was Checking on the Boys? | Real Ghost Stories

Not long after moving into their first home, her young son began asking an unsettling question: had she been coming into his room at night and rubbing his back while he slept?

She hadn’t.

Eventually, she asked a longtime neighbor what she knew about the people who had lived there before.

The story she heard made her look at those quiet nighttime visits very differently—and raised an even stranger question about who might still consider that house home.
