4 - Abba - The God Who Brings Us Home

“Abba” is the way Jesus addresses the Father and the cry the Spirit produces within God’s adopted children. It expresses secure and reverent access to God rather than casual familiarity.

Through Jesus, those who were enslaved are redeemed, adopted, and made heirs. Jesus does not merely rescue us from judgment or bondage. He brings us into His relationship with the Father.

We do not obey in order to earn a place in God’s household. We obey because Jesus has brought us home.
